Silhouette-
The message I would like to show when doing my silhouette is that a little bit of fresh air and looking at the beauty outside can be a medication for happiness. I want to have a person jumping in front of a sunset. Double Exposure- The message I would like to show when doing my double exposure is the saying about "head in the clouds". To me this means that you go to your own place and can reach new heights in success. Sepia- In my photos that I take I want to tell a story. In my sepia photo I want to convey the feeling of being empty. I want my picture to have a empty classroom. Sepia usually tells a story about old time and I want my photo to show/talk about how the classrooms were empty when discrimination and other things were going on. I want the message to be that school is different now and all kids have a chance to be educated now. Black and white- In my black and white photo I want to convey the feeling of sadness. In the photo i want to have a close-up of a eye. Not only do i want the eye but i want water dripping from it as if it was a tear drop. I want this to show sadness but have the message that it is okay to cry. Emphasis- In my emphasis photo I would like to convey the feeling or demonstrating loneliness or discrimination. I want to take the picture in the lunch rooms showing a whole bunch of people sitting together. I want to emphasize on one person that is sitting alone. A technique i would like to use is blurring out the background to help focus more on the one person. I would like this to show how people are ignored and that you should accept everyone in your community. Forced perspective- For my forced perspective I want tot make a a obstacle course out of books and pencils and then a person trying to do the obstacle course standing further back. The message I want to portray is "don't let the little things stop you. For my other forced perspective I want to have a close up of a foot looking like it is going to step down and then far back i want a person scared of getting stepped on. The message I would like to portray is "don't let people step all over you". Choice- I am going to do a black and white photo with a person sitting in the hallway. I want the person to look a little sad. I want to show that school can sometimes break people down. I want to show that For my second choice I would like to have picture of a forest and a head. The message I would like to portray is that you can get lost in your thoughts.

A layer mask uses different grays to assign levels of transparency to specific portions of a layer or group of layers. A clipping mask is use the transparency of one layer to define that of a different layer or group of layers. The difference between a layer mask and a clipping mask is a layer mask is specific portions while clipping mask is one or more layers.
Tips to make layer mask: 1. Select the brush tool then hit D to make the colors black and white and you can press X to go back and fourth 2. hit alt-click the add mask icon for a black mask or you can highlight a white mask and press Cmd/Ctrl+I to invert it to black 3. Alt-click a layer mask thumbnail toggle so you can switch back and fourth between the image and the mask 4.Set the brush blend mode to overlay and this can help you clean up the messy edges. 5. Hold alt to drag a mask from one layer to another 6. Right click and choose refine mask and go to refine edge. This will help you improve the mask 7. Select the link between layer and mask thumbnails in the layer panel to toggle it off. What is a black and white photo? A black ad white photo is the colors black and white combined in a continuous spectrum, producing ranges of grays. To me the purpose for using black and white is to convey a sad feeling.I believe that a photographer would take a photo in black and white because to make the feeling of an photo even more sad or pull more emotions out of people when they look at the photo. ![]() What is a sepia photo? A sepia photo is a photo with a color of a more toned orange-ish yellow. The purpose of using sepia is to represent old times. I think that a photographer would use sepia to show or better represent the old times. ![]() What is emphasis on a photo? Emphasis on a photo is used to make the focus of the picture on one thing. The purpose of using color selection and emphasis is to draw the attention to one thing. I think that a photographer would purposely manipulate the color of specific parts of photo to create a eye appealer and focus on that one thing. The message I would like to show when doing my forced perspective is the concept that the world is yours. I would like to have a close up earth (or globe) ad then a person far away holding the planets.
